Sometimes we are different, yet the same.
Hi, I’m Alvaro, and I love User Experience Design (UXD).

The idea for this site came about as a result of attending a user experience (UX) conference in Ottawa, Canada. At the end of it, with our brains on fire, I began to realize that I could also be putting something out into the world that would further the awareness and knowledge of UX , and more importantly, demystify the concept of designing with the end-user experience in mind, so that we could make UX an outcome rather than a process. When we all think of how our end products will be interacted with and consumed, we begin to pay more attention to how we put things together, and how they have been put together for us.

UX as an outcome is about designing with purpose and intent, it is about becoming a steward for that which you create. As a result, I have created a manifesto for how I will approach the building of this site over time. I want you engaged, I want you as part of the discussion. I will share my UX views and opinions on the world. I look forward to hearing about yours.

Manifesto

  1. Approach what I write about from the point of view that everything is designed.
  2. Seek to engage everyone in User Experience Design (UXD) so that as we all become more aware of the designing of user experience, we move towards user experience as an outcome, rather than a process.
  3. Helping everyone develop a UX Habit, so that everything they create, regardless of what it is, has the end-user experience in mind.

Very interesting Blog Alvaro, I liked the topics you covered. I also enjoy eating brown eggs I find that you can purchase a dozen from select grocery stores, and that they are a little cheaper.

So, what do you think?
